Avan is the school teacher in a small border town in Kurdistan. Besides teaching, he also pays attention to students' problems and his life is tangled with theirs. Once, he notices Jivar's absence. Avan finds out that Jivar had to go to the city to work because of their financial situation. He has to work for two years and send half of his income daily to a chicken salesman named Namdar, to pay their debt. Jivar doesn't like his job of butchering chickens. Avan goes to the city after Jivar, but talking to Namdar ends up in conflict and violence. On the other hand, Avan paints in his free time. His beautiful paintings represent three seasons of the year in a poetic atmosphere in Kurdistan. Besides their beautiful sketches, they are filled with lively colors that come from wild flowers in the mountains near the village Avan lives in. Avan sells his paintings to the owner of a carpet weaving shop and brings Jivar back to life and school. Then, to solve other problems of the town and school, he deals with the shop owner to provide him with carpet designs. His designs are filled with natural and pleasant colors and become popular quickly. During this cooperation, Avan meets Bahareh, a carpet weaver and falls in love with her. His love for her is so deep that even when she steps on a mine and loses one of her legs, he still asks her to become his partner in life, forever.
