It's been years that Niyaz has accepted the absence of her mother, who has gone abroad since divorcing her father. Niyaz has a quiet and simple life with her father, Movahhed, a philosophy professor at Tabriz University. The most important thing going on in Niyaz's life is being taught Setar by one of his father's students, Hediyeh. Niyaz learns playing the instrument with so much passion and even holds a concert... At this time, she receives a letter from her mother, informing of her upcoming trip to Iran and meeting her only daughter... The mood in their house just goes down and Movahhed is not feeling well, but there is no alternative. It's a fact they have to deal with. An accident makes everything complicated upon the mother's arrival. Niyaz is brain dead after an accident and her parents face the decision of their lifetime. Finally, they decide to donate their daughter's heart to Hediyeh, whom their daughter loved very much and is now suffering from heart disease.
