The Child and the Soldier 1998

A soldier named Bahman Aminpour is responsible to transfer an accused child from Sarakhs to the Youth Detention Center in Tehran. Meanwhile, the soldier is trying to take a vacation to his hometown in north of Iran and spend the first half of the new year's holidays with his family. The soldier and the child leave Sarakhs. The soldier knows that going to Tehran will ruin his holiday plans. Thus he decides to go to his family and bring the child with him. They reach an agreement and the child promises not to escape. The soldier's family treat the child with hospitality. They are not aware of what he is precisely going through. The child who is thinking about his own family, moves away from the soldier and goes to his village. The soldier, in pursuit of the child, finally finds him. The child's home is not as warm and intimate as the child had fantasized, so he leaves the house and joins the soldier once again. These two start to get used to each other. In Tehran the soldier helps the child to find his mother but they can not find any trace of her. Finally the dutiful soldier takes the child to the Youth Detention Center undesirably.
