Grand Cinema is a comedy depicting the early days of cinematography in Iran. The main characters of the movie are two foreign cinematographers both of whom are politically bound to the two powerful political sides of the time (England and Russia). With the help of cinema, they try to propagandize for the benefit of their governments. The main idea of the movie is to show the professional rivalries between them and the effects it had on the formation of cinema and film in Iran.
