Ahlam, a senior medical student, has left her birthplace since her childhood and has come to the city. Now she is graduated and, by the laws of her tribe she must come back to her village and marry her first cousin Farhan, while she is actually in love with her professor Parviz who is also interested in her. When Ahlam returns to her family, she expresses her respect for her tribe's laws, but she declares her unwillingness to marry her illiterate cousin Farhan, who is apparently a fisherman but is actually a smuggler and she has been involved with many problems
