The Desert's Shepherds 1988

Mokhtar, along with his father Mousa and Mirza, is a shepherd in the desert. Mirza, because of her wife's sickness, asks Ghadir, the son of the herd owner, to take leave of the job temporarily to visit his wife at home and see how is she. He doesn't grant permission. Mirza, after making an arrangement with Mokhtar, goes to his home and some sheeps and goats perish on his way because of a desert storm. Ghadir holds Mirza responsible for the death of the cattle and beats him up. Mokhtar takes side with Mirza and stands up against Ghadir, demanding him to pay his wage. Ghadir now wants compensation from Mokhtar. Mokhtar complains to Ghadir's father and Ghadir insults him and drives him away. Mokhtar brings a police from the local police station and at the end, Ghadir wins the case. Because of drought and scarcity of grazing lands, Ghadir sells his herd to a slaughterhouse.
