Yasaman Pakravan, a wealthy woman, has paid his husband, Sadegh, 10 Million Tomans to convince him of divorcing her. However, Sadegh continues to harass her and ask her for more until she is forced to hire a lawyer, Ehsan Daneshvar, to make her divorce legal. But before they can meet, Sadegh calls Ehsan and asks him not to accept Yasaman's case. Ehsan ignores his threats, but these soon spread from Yasaman to Ehsan and his family. Sadegh keeps threatening each of them strongly without ever leaving a trace of himself. Yasaman is left with no choice but to enter Ehsan's private life, and so she joins him, his wife Minou, and his daughter Laleh. She gives them her checkbook and all her jewelry. Some time later, Yasaman's aunt who has mediated her separation from Sadegh, is murdered. Yasaman assures her lawyer that it was an act of Sadegh, but they have no piece of evidence against him. While Ehsan has to focus on Sadegh and his threats, a new preoccupation arises and it is that of Minou's money-wasting and her reckless spending from Yasaman's checkbook. He asks his wife to return the checkbook to her owner, reminding her that their meeting was due to her issuing bad checks and asks her not to cause the same misfortune again. She refuses and says that Yasaman does not oppose to her spending and has also given Minou her ring as a present. Despite Ehsan's constant warnings, Minou ignores him and he leaves the house with Laleh. In his absence, Sadegh comes and enter a fight with them. Yasaman kills Sadegh, and Minou, terrified, calls Ehsan, who rejects her call...
