A train that goes to Abadan has two special passengers: Sarah Parsa, the well-known journalist who is on an assignment to make a report on the International Youth Conference, and Raheem, a militant in all the years of war and a chemical veteran, with an important mission to clear the broken silos left from the wartime, being still full of ammunition and explosives. Rahim begins his mission with such a determined upright spirits but faces the opposition of his old counterpart, Nasser, who is still caught in the mood of war. Rahim is hesitant between the wishes of two of his friends, Mahmoud, the governor of Abadan and Nasser. But he finally decides to do the job. Nasser, who wants to prevent Raheem, commits a sabotage action. Following the broadcast of the news, Sarah is ordered by the newspaper to make a report about the incident, and this is when Mahmoud and one of the security authorities in the city enter the silo while pursuing Sarah. But they're trapped in ambushes and they become unable to leave the place. Rahim's physical condition deteriorates, and Sarah takes care of him. Mahmoud and the security guard are confronted with Nasser, and are beaten up by the blast of grenades, in which Mahmoud, Nasser and the security guards are killed. Rahim comes to himself and continues clearing the silo, and Sarah is dissuaded from writing the report because she has come to a new understanding of life and sacrifice.
